We are a GCP Reseller company. We use SAP for managing our customers, and it creates a smooth journey for our customers. It has loads of pre-loaded features, including automated payment solutions, delivery and order processing, and promotions. One of the major defining factors of SAP is its integration with other products. It can be easily configured with GCP Billing.
  • We can set up automated channels that can generate and Send invoices to customers from Google Clouds billing.
  • We can set up different contracts according to customer agreements, which include promotions and discounts.
  • It automates most clunky billing processes which can be a huge advantage.
  • There are some issues with integrations. Like we have to generate an intermediate report and then feed it to SAP.
  • Changing the format of the invoice is a hassle sometimes, and the online resources are good but not great.
  • Time taken during migration is too long.
It is a great ERP Solution. It automatically generates invoices for our multiple customers which is one of the best use cases.

I am able to use SAP Commerce cloud to track my inventory and market to my social platforms. SAP Commerce cloud is needed to keep my business running smoothly. Before SAP Commerce Cloud, my inventory was a guessing game. I was running out of stock and having to wait for reorders.
  • inventory
  • profit
  • monitoring customer behaviors
  • month end closing can be faster
  • site navigation
SAP commerce cloud helps greatly with inventory tracking. It also helps cut down on code issues when special codes are added to the site. The ease of inventory and reorder is a time saver. Month end is easier than it was before using the platform. It is suitable for b2b applications.

It's like having a Swiss army knife for your e-commerce needs. This platform can address a variety of business problems and scenarios, and its scope is pretty expansive. Since I have implemented SAP Commerce Cloud for my customers, it's hard to describe a single use case but there are several I can address. Online Store Management: This is the most common use. It allows us to list products, inventory, and orders and provides a really good and seamless experience. Multi-channel selling: This feature allows us to sell not only on your website but in other channels, like mobile apps, social media, and marketplaces, and with this tool, you reach a wider audience. Personalization: This is really cool. It allows us to customize the shopping experience for each customer by recommending personalized products, offers, and pricing to enhance customer satisfaction. B2B and B2C E-commerce: This feature is also cool because it has the tools to allow you to sell to other businesses or directly to consumers. Technically, it allows us to solve some of the most common business problems, such as limited e-commerce access, inefficient order processing, lack of personalization, scalability, and complex B2B transactions.
  • Order Management
  • Content Management
  • Multi-channel selling
  • Scalability
  • Pricing
  • Customization at a core level
  • Learning Curve
  • Performance optimization
  • Localization and Globalization
well suited: - Large enterprises - B2B e-commerce - Multi-channel sales - Complex e-commerce workflows - Global business, international operation Less appropriate: - Small businesses - Single product stores - Low budgets - Quick deployments - Lightweight websites - Limited IT servers/resources

SAP Commerce Cloud is integral to our organization, enhancing customer experiences, streamlining order management, and providing valuable analytics. It's our go-to solution for scalable, personalized e-commerce.
  • Personalized Customer Journeys.
  • Omni-Channel Integration.
  • Data-Driven Insights.
  • Simplifying the customization process.
  • Improved documentation.
  • Greater visibility into the platform's performance.
Certainly, SAP Commerce Cloud excels in scenarios requiring robust e-commerce capabilities, such as large-scale online stores with extensive product catalogs, complex pricing structures, and personalized customer experiences. It's also well-suited for businesses aiming to expand into multiple sales channels. However, for smaller businesses with limited resources, it may be less appropriate due to its complexity and cost.

We utilize SAP Commerce Cloud for managing our online sales and customer interactions. The platform aids in addressing the challenges of complex supply chains and regulatory compliance by centralizing data and processes. Our use case extends from inventory management to customer service, ensuring seamless operations. Integrated analytics are beneficial for market insights, although there’s a learning curve to fully exploit its capabilities. Real-time data processing is crucial for maintaining regulatory compliance and meeting customer expectations. Despite its robustness, the initial setup was complex, and the user interface could be more intuitive. The scalability of SAP Commerce Cloud, however, aligns well with our evolving business needs, making it a viable long-term solution for our digital commerce operations within the intricate landscape of the chemicals industry.
  • Centralized Data Management: SAP Commerce Cloud excels in centralizing data from various operational sectors, which is pivotal in the chemicals industry. This feature allows for better oversight and management of complex supply chains, regulatory compliance, and customer interactions. Having a single source of truth for crucial business data minimizes discrepancies and promotes informed decision-making.
  • Real-Time Data Processing: The real-time data processing capability of SAP Commerce Cloud is invaluable. It aids in timely adherence to regulatory changes and helps in meeting customer demands promptly. In a sector where regulations and market conditions are ever-evolving, real-time data processing is fundamental for maintaining compliance and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • User Interface (UI): The user interface of SAP Commerce Cloud could be more intuitive. Users often find the interface to be not as user-friendly, which may require additional training to navigate efficiently. Enhancing the UI to be more intuitive could significantly shorten the learning curve and improve user satisfaction.
  • Documentation and Support: Improved documentation and more readily available support could aid in addressing user issues more efficiently.
  • Integration Challenges: difficulty with integrating our legacy inventory systems.
Multi-Channel Commerce: Firms aiming to provide a seamless customer experience across multiple channels (online, mobile, in-store) may find SAP Commerce Cloud’s omnichannel commerce capabilities useful. Global Operations: Companies with global operations can benefit from the multi-site, multi-currency, and multi-language capabilities of SAP Commerce Cloud, facilitating a unified commerce platform across diverse geographical locations.

I led teams that designed and implemented SAP Commerce Cloud to enable online B2B and B2C eCommerce for clients.
  • B2C and B2B Webshops
  • Online Product Catalog
  • Reactive user interface development
  • Easy to navigate end user experience
  • Direct inbuilt interface with SAP for order management and fulfillment
  • SAP Commerce Cloud does not have large market share
  • More industry specific templates are needed
  • Better performance monitoring and tuning tools are needed
SAP Commerce Cloud is an excellent choice for eCommerce for companies and organizations that already have SAP as their back office ERP order management, fulfillment and financial system.

Content and data management, 360 degrees of our customers, merchandising and sales and business model optimization, SAP Commerce Cloud transactions can be carried out in such a way that they interact with current ERP systems. We use SAP Commerce Cloud to create builds of different versions, which are then deployed to various environments. We also use Backoffice for all test and production environments in our project, and we use HAC for a variety of tasks such as running Flexi queries, SQL queries, importing and exporting Impex files, and so on.
  • SAP Commerce Cloud lowers manual effort, enhancing developer labor efficiency, and provides a strong content management system where we specify items, catalogs, and promotions.
  • Deployments are done well, and builds are created quickly with no crashes or issues.
  • SAP Backoffice and HAC are extremely useful in the daily lives of Hybris developers since they allow us to check all implementations done in each environment as well as compilations prepared and implemented in each environment.
  • It's a little pricey; further cost reductions will expand product selection; also, trained operators are required.
  • HAC occasionally functions extremely slowly and does not provide any problem messages; it simply gets stuck. Logging into the Backoffice for testing purposes causes a lot of trouble; it does not enable us to log in in one attempt, and the page refreshes every time we enter in the credentials.
SAP Commerce Cloud is highly suited for development and testing work on projects based on SAP Hybris commerce technology since the cloud-based solution overcomes numerous infrastructure and security challenges. Backoffice, HAC, and the SAP cloud site all contribute significantly to the project's development by enhancing efficiency and eliminating manual labor for all staff, giving them more time to engage in the creation of new functionality.

We are using SAP eCommerce Cloud as the tool for our B2B web site. We have just migrated from the Hybris on Premise version + Datahub to SAP Commerce Cloud + SCPI. The migration process has been complicated and we have had to do a lot of rework. Currently we are happy with the result and we are working to extend the solution to other group companies taking care with performance.
  • SAP ERP integration
  • Product search
  • Adaptability to business needs
  • Minor releases to avoid big releases
  • Reduce complexity
I think SAP Commerce Cloud is a powerful but complex tool appropriate for complex B2B e-commerce Sites integrated with SAP ERP. In my opinion it is less useful for simple B2B e-commerce sites and / or not integrated with SAP ERP

We moved all the client implementations from on-premise to cloud and have realized the ease of use of the software over the conventional one. Apart from ease in deployment and a cleaner structure of storefront, back office, and hac, this also gives Kibana based tracking of the logs and APM using Dynatrace.
  • Deployment
  • Debugging
  • Setting up environment specific variables
  • Isolating and monitoring server
  • Cleaner separation between different servers
  • build pipeline customization
  • access related issues
  • troubleshooting without SAP intervention
It's best suited for existing applications built on Hybris (SAP CX) and can easily be used by the addition of a deployment descriptor that also houses environment-specific variables. However, for an application from scratch, it is not readily available from the cloud storage that users can simply clone and start using it. Not having an online marketplace like store to add various OOTB components is a big miss in my opinion.

End to end B2B and B2C ecommerce website for Retail, Automotive domain customers. This also includes integration to other SAP products using Datahub or SAP cloud platform integration. Business problems include - New greenfield commerce website or upgrade of existing website due to performance constraints. Scope includes estimation, discovery, refinement , agile development and training.
  • B2B Commerce Handling
  • SAP suite Integration
  • Product Catalog Handling
  • Price and Order Management
  • Spartacus Raodmap
  • Composable Architecture
  • Agile development and deployment
Well suited for B2B commerce, big scale customers with existing products from SAP already in use due to seamless integration possibilities.
Less appropriate in case of customers with lower budget and no existing SAP products. Also costly license and limited requirements may lead to customer choosing a low fee ecommerce product in market.

I am an SAP Commerce Cloud Developer at my organization and I use SAP Commerce Cloud every day and implement different functionalities on websites for our clients. As a developer when you work with SAP Commerce Cloud the job is much easier, tasks like build and deployment are smooth and easy with minimum steps involved. Implementation with the service layer is flexible and easy. Beginners & Java developers can learn and use SAP Commerce Cloud very quickly once the basics are clear. SAP Commerce Cloud is an extensible and flexible solution today in the eCommerce industry.
  • Build and deployment is faster and easier
  • Development is easy with service layer implementation
  • Extensible and Flexible solution
  • can use OOTB functionalities with little configuration
  • Canceling the deployment takes a lot of time and we are helpless without SAP support
  • Production deployment gets stuck and we are helpless without SAP support
  • Support for OOTB issues/ deployment issue should be improved
SAP Commerce Cloud has provided many OOTB functionalities which you can use and extend with minimum configuration. SAP Commerce Cloud has provided UI to manage products/users etc via back office cockpit, Clients can manage websites in SmartEdit, etc. all these make working with SAP Commerce Cloud easier. • End to end purchase flow
  • Easy to configure promotions
  • Good support
  • Pricing
  • Making package a bit lighter
Based on the overall package, the SAP Commerce cloud provides lots of options OOB for supporting multiple client requirements. It also provides flexibility to customize the code based on client needs. OOB Catalog management, user access management, and Promotion engine have been very helpful in supporting our clients. We provide B2C and B2B solutions to our clients. Mainly for the retail industry such as fashion and fragrance stores. We use most of the core features of SAP Commerce such as the Integration feature, OData, Process Engine for order placement, and user actions (eg. register, forgot password, product stock notification) and Promotions.
  • B2B and B2C
  • Products design
  • Hard to understand payment module flows
It is well suited for long-term projects, but is not so good if your development team has little experience with SAP Commerce Cloud. Some features that we really like are Process Engine, Product Cockpit for product management, Adaptive Search for configuring the Search Profiles, and personalization. These are really easy to configure which boosts our productivity.

SAP Commerce Cloud is our new B2B portal module which helps us to create better B2C experiences for our dealers. · With the SAP Commerce Cloud solution, Eczacıbaşı dealers are now able to access the product portfolio, technical specifications, visuals and technical drawing documents, and prices in the same workspace. On the same platform, specially designed screens allow dealers to order the products: offer, order, and delivery processes can be carried out in one digital environment from end to end. On the platform, dealers can instantly access reports such as order, shipment, delivery, and current statements whenever they want. The SAP Commerce Cloud solution was integrated online with the back-end system S/4HANA, enabling the simultaneous execution of business processes.

  • Use to design and develop very complex B2B business model requirements like Assortment, Personalization's, Custom Search Experiences, REST and Soap based integrations, Order and Multiple Cart for the customer, etc.
  • We also resolve problems like displaying real-time pricing as well as stock from ERP, also implement Personalization on the product display.
  • It's is very easy to integrate context-driven services and provide a way for businesses to analyze customer behavior.
  • CCV2 really helps and reduces efforts towards dev-ops like building and deploying code to the environment.
  • One of the best things to solve problems is to have implemented a complex assortment, using adaptive search as well as customizing search flow easily with minimal effort.
  • Business-friendly UI as well as configuration by which Business can customize search experience for specific page-level along with customization of specific value.
  • Flexibility over integrations, at the same time, can provide API as well can be consumers. Also, have OOTB integrations using SCPI which really helps in onboarding Catalogs details to SAP Commerce Cloud.
  • SAP Commerce Cloud Integration with context-driven services to achieve customer behavior as well as apply segmentation and product recommendations, is very easy and it is out of the box with the minimum effort it is working perfectly.
  • SAP Commerce Cloud on CCV2 makes life easier as there is no need of having big experience in the dev-ops side as build and deployment pipelines are already available. Also, there is zero downtime which is saving business as the site is always available.
  • As per experience performance is the area where improvement can be done when ordering 500 products and more.
  • SAP support for CCV2 deployment and SAP Products issues.
  • If we can bring Facet hierarchy feature as well as slider facets options out of box
  • There are performance issues in grouping functionality if we have many children of a group in PLP/CLP.
  • As per my experience, SAP Commerce Cloud is built on Java and Spring which is an open technology and widely used. Any developer who knows programming can learn and adopt it easily.
  • SAP Commerce Cloud has added new features and eased the life of developers by giving an easy way to customize Backoffice Cockpit very easily. So as per business requirements, we can customize it easily.
  • One of my best experiences is with Search Functionality like adaptive search and giving way to customize filtering search results for specific customers.
  • And one of the big reasons is that SAP Commerce Cloud is widely used by many customers and SAP Commerce Cloud is the leader in this area so always a hot technology.

I belong to the Partner Integration Team inside RA USA and we connect the Portal through headless commerce APIs with distributors and suppliers. The company doesn't know about SCPI so all the APIs are custom. I'm in RA since February 2nd, 2021 and as of today, I can say that we have so many issues product of bad assessment and incorrect implementation. A proof for that is to go into our code and check how the code has been written. However, we deal with issues with product master data, customer master data among others. We are integrated with SAP ECC and our business model is based on Subscription. RA sells bundles that contain software, maintenance, and support. SAP doesn't handle the bundle concept so we import part numbers from SAP ECC and we construct the bundle inside SAP Commerce. SAp Commerce calculates prices and feeds the information to different systems internally and everything is made manually.

We use SAP Commerce Cloud to run both our B2B and B2C ecommerce sites. We chose SAP Commerce Cloud because of how easily it integrates with SAP ERP. We started with B2B (where clean data integration is especially important because of custom-specific pricing and product rules) and were so happy with it that we moved our B2C sites to SAP Commerce Cloud a few years later.
  • Integrates with SAP ERB.
  • Easy to manage product catalogs, especially for multi-site implementations.
  • Simplified access for customer support team to troubleshoot issues.
  • Opportunity for improved search functionality, Solr is built-in and difficult to customize.
  • Opportunity for easier integration with CRM platforms to drive personalization.
  • Opportunity for easier to implement SSO.
SAP Commerce Cloud is well suited to enterprise-level organizations with business and technical teams dedicated to growing and maintaining the MarTech stack; even in a large organization, the company should expect to be able to fund technical partners for larger projects and integrations. It is not appropriate for smaller organizations looking for a more plug and play solution or for someone who is looking to buy something once and then let it run without too much ongoing maintenance.

SAP Hybris Commerce is the infrastructure of the project we have developed for the digital banking sector. The product is used by all technical business units. SAP Commerce is actively used in the current situation because it includes the e-commerce functions needed in digital retailing. In addition, the ability to track the company's stock integrated with existing ERP (SAP and/or non-SAP) systems gives us an advantage.
  • With SAP Commerce Cloud, we have strong content management where we define products, catalogs, and promotions.
  • It is possible to carry out transactions with SAP Commerce Cloud in such a way that they are integrated with existing ERP systems.
  • SAP Commerce Cloud has a platform where web interfaces are decoded.
  • It's a very costly product for small companies. Further cost reduction will increase the choice of the product.
  • Learning the SAP Commerce system is difficult for a start. In a simpler way, SAP Commerce product can be learned.
SAP Commerce Cloud offers the ability to manage in-house inventory management on a single platform. I think the most important advantage of this is this: all teams can monitor the product at the same time in physical, online platforms and call centers. Real-time tracking of inventory status across all channels makes inventory tracking very easy. In addition, with the PCM feature, we can easily manage the product's content and catalog.

SAP Commerce Cloud is being used by my organization as a cloud solution integrating the various parts of my company. SAP allows my company to make a powerful presence within the industry market. I work to help plan designs and create marketing content. SAP helps make my work more efficient with its complete commerce cloud portal that connects e-commerce as well.
  • New functions each quarter.
  • Provides all features for e-commerce platform required for both B2B and B2C.
  • Flexibility to use across multiple devices.
  • Seems to be more compatible with regular SAP and not the Business One version.
  • Bad search system that needs to become more efficient and accessible.
  • Loading issues at times.
SAP Commerce Cloud is well suited in marketing areas, similar to my work. It is nice have the cloud platform integrate my company's designs and promote its core digital products. Having everything integrated makes it easier to control the e-commerce execution. Overall, I have noticed a greater efficiency throughout automated and integrated digital business processes.

Our global marcomm departments utilize it for campaign management as well as use for measuring ROI, integration across multiple marketing platforms (social media, email, website, etc.), eblasts, and more. We tie it in with our website builder, Kentico, and some global offices don't utilize the email platform (they use Constant Contact).
  • Successfully ties campaigns to contacts within CRM.
  • Brings together marcomm departments across the globe.
  • The codes between Hybris and CRM do NOT match.
  • We've had campaigns (that took hours to build) just vanish into thin air - with no answers from SAP.
It's great for larger (global) organizations but it takes a LONG TIME to implement. The user interface is quite dated but does the job. If using the SAP CRM system, the campaign IDs DO NOT match up which is a HUGE inconvenience for our marketing team. We've also had campaigns (that took a LOT of time to input) completely vanish with no reason why from SAP.
